It has been a privilege to work behind the scenes to bring to life a new identity and digital experience for the prestigious Jersey College for Girls and Jersey College Prep schools, collectively known as Jersey College. For the past year, we have worked alongside students, faculty, and parents to create an entirely new visual language from the ground up that represents the spirit and culture of Jersey College. The refreshed branding is part of their 140th year; celebrating the past and equipping them for the future.
We started with the logo. Simple yet refined, contemporary yet classic. From there we developed a brand system that allows each faculty team to speak with their own personalised voice by devising a suite of bespoke iconography and an extended colour palette. The result is a top-level brand identity that shows restraint when speaking to the outside world, but internally is filled with warmth and diversity through a flexible system for wayfinding, events, and administration. We believe this approach will lead to a stronger sense of ownership for individual subject areas across staff and students alike.
The final piece of the Jersey College puzzle was a new website fit for the day-to-day needs of a modern educational centre. The primary goal here was to let the College community shine through personal contributions and photography.
We have worked intensively with the College to develop a new brand vocabulary, including their new strapline "Believe you can", key messages "Community & purpose" and "Every moment meaningful" and brand values "Aspire, Inquire, Excel, Belong". We are thrilled with the outcome and are excited for the next chapter for both Jersey College for Girls and Jersey College Prep and all affiliated projects.
