The National Trust of Guernsey

National Trust of Guernsey

In 1960 Peggy Carey, May Bonamy Collins, and Diana de Jersey founded the National Trust of Guernsey, now enjoying a membership of over 3,000 islanders. The National Trust of Guernsey aims to preserve and enhance the Island's natural beauty, historic buildings, and heritage. We worked together to create an elegant new website and social media toolkit to unify the brand's visual language across platforms and devices.

Ease of use for all ages and abilities was essential for the site's design, clearly showing users the variety of places, walks, venues and events on the Island alongside options to hire several venues or even stay the night at the beautifully converted Fermain Tower.

Beautiful photography and video for the site and a toolkit were a must, fortunately, the National Trust of Guernsey has access to an extensive library for such occasions. A contemporary "Hygge" colour palette was employed to create approachability and calm alongside picturesque local photography, insightful quotes, and a well-balanced typography style.

A stunning drone video of Fermain Tower is the cherry on top of a thoroughly enjoyable project that will help locals to reacquaint themselves with Guernsey's rich heritage and idyllic surroundings, whilst visitors will be able to plan their trips with a wealth of information at their fingertips.

“We have a duty to save the things that mattered to us, to Guernsey, and which would be of considerable interest to our children and grandchildren … we must create in the minds of the young an appreciation of the countryside, the wonders of the seashore and the things that really matter in life.”  Raymond Falla OBE (1901-1991); Past President (1973-1976)
