Jazz musician Eric Dolphy described the temporality of music by saying "When you hear music, after it's over, it's gone, in the air. You can never capture it again." Maybe this is why music has such an intricate relationship with art and visual language. They work together to complement, contrast, twist and skew one another in interesting ways. We worked alongside DIY-Pop outfit WITHOUT to bring their music to life in branding, graphic design, photography and moving image.
WITHOUT signed to Steve Aoki's acclaimed Los Angeles based electronic label "Dim Mak" to release their debut EP "Cheap Touch" before creating their own imprint "The Peace" with support from AWAL. WITHOUT have been featured by Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio One, Jaden Smith on his acclaimed MSFTS FREQUENCY show on Apple Music's "Beats One" and Oliver Heldens Capital FM monthly mix.
With millions of plays through viral charts and major playlisting on digital streaming platforms, their music has seen national TV rotation via online fashion retailer Prettylittlething's summer advertising campaign and a significant placement in James Franco and Bryan Cranston's hit Hollywood comedy "Why Him".
