The Garenne Group is ever-present in Channel Islands life and commerce. With a long tradition of investment in local construction they employ over 950 people in Jersey, Guernsey and the UK. The challenge here was to bring the 10 different businesses under the Garenne umbrella into a coherent and structured framework.
Stage one was to tackle the parent brand which was done by creating intertwining G’s growing outwards in opposing directions. A sturdy, no-nonsense identity that speaks of practicality, clarity, efficiency and a sense of direction and purpose. As a brand that needed to be legible from the smallest sizes on business cards to the largest sizes on buildings, special attention was given to weight and spacing at a variety of scales. The next stage was to bring all the brands together under a single online platform that could allow them all individuality while maintaining the appearance of the group.
