This is the second of two restaurant brands we have been working on for Fermain Valley Hotel which, although part of the hotel, are both very much stand alone offerings.
As a venue that serves not only Steaks from around the world but also a myriad of cocktails the brief here was rustic American steakhouse with a sophisticated edge. The resulting brand draws on industrial urban typography to create a warehouse/prohibition spit and sawdust style, applying a single font but in a myriad of styles from heavy drop shadows, to inlines, to three dimensional forms and at a multitude of scales.
The branding and the accompanying advertising also employs a series of light hearted quotes firmly setting the tone of the restaurant. There's plenty more in the pipeline for the Rock Garden but we thought we'd give you a taster... well if you REALLY want a taster you'd better get down there yourself, you'll be glad you did.
