TPS had a bit of a day trip to new The Design Museum in London in December. After shifting from the old site near Butler's Wharf in Docklands to the redeveloped Commonwealth Institute in High St Kensington the Design Museum opened it's doors towards the end of 2016
With a permanent collection that is well worth the visit alone we also got to see the Beazley Design of the Year award exhibition, a provocative cross-section of contemporary design drawn from six categories: architecture, design, graphics, product, transport and fashion.
Visitors were asked to vote for their favourite work, my vote went to Channel 4's brand work. Whatever you do, if you are in London and have an afternoon to spare go, you won't regret it.
