Guernsey boy Jack Rees recently joined us in the studio to tackle our world-famous work experience briefs. Jack was yet another student enamored by our Little Big Brew Co project and spent the week pushing himself to use all his current design skills while also learning a bunch of new digital apps like Illustrator and InDesign, which he was using for the first time.
Jack was great to have in the studio—positive, enthusiastic, receptive to feedback, and willing to give new software and processes a go. We were all thoroughly impressed with Jack’s work, particularly his keenness to not take the easy way out and instead build shapes and assets by hand to achieve a bespoke look and feel.
Jack also excelled at presenting his work in our client role-play, demonstrating clear, confident, and sharp on-the-spot thinking when grilled by our design team. Great work, Jack! We hope you continue with a career in the creative industries and wish you all the best for the future.
